The Napa Valley Youth Symphony

 

Named a "cultural treasure" by California Governor Arnold Schwarzengger, the Napa Valley Youth Symphony is a full symphonic orchestra directed by conductor "Ming Luke dedicated to training talented young musicians from the Napa Valley and surrounding areas the masterworks of the great classical composers of the present and past centuries. Committed not only to providing its musicians with high-quality music education, the Napa Valley Youth Symphony, Sinfonia and Wind Sinfonia also has a mission to bring music education to all students in the Napa Valley through its outreach and education programs.

The Napa Valley Youth Symphony, with Sinfonia and Wind Sinfonia, perform several major concerts a year and presents several masterclasses, education concerts, and chamber music concerts each season. The Napa Valley Youth Symphony has garnered many accolades over the past few seasons, including recognition of achievement by United States Senator Barbara Boxer, taking top honors at the Los Angeles International Music Festival in 2010, and a performance at Carnegie Hall in 2008.
